Steps for Installation

  1. Log into your instance of Jira as an admin.
  2. Select the Apps dropdown menu from top navigation bar, and choose Find apps.
  3. Search Trending Gadget on Atlassian marketplace search menu or upload an installation file in Manage apps menu, if your Jira not connected to Atlassian Marketplace.
  4. Once the app is installed, you will be notified via a success message.
  5. Open Manage Apps menu in System Administration tab, click to Configure button in Jira Trending Plugin window. Fill Searcher user name field with existing service account or create new one with appropriate permissions in target projects
  6. After it your users will able to use Trending Gadget features on Dashboards.
Please, pay attention, that selected Service account will be used by the app to calculate filters results for all users. We are recommend to use Service accounts without excessive permissions. In case of you have extra-sensitive projects, where even issues count is not public information - use another, appropriate service account
